The Community Council wishes to appoint a Co-opted Councillor .
Co-opted Councillors have the same rights and responsibilities as those Councillors who obtain office through election.
Eligibilty to Apply
There are 4 categories of eligibility to be a qualified candidate for co-option to the Community Council: -
· the candidate is on the electoral register for the community in Croesyceiliog and Llanyrafon
· or the candidate has during the whole of the twelve months before nomination resided in the locality or within three miles of it
· or the candidate has occupied as owner or tenant any land or premises or had his principal or only place of work in Croesyceiliog and Llanyrafon
If you wish to apply , please supply a statement ( no more than one side of A4 paper ) telling us about yourself & why you would like to be a community councillor.
Depending upon the numbers of expressions of interest received a selection process will be undertaken using the statements provided.
